Glimpses from the first edition of Boiler India Expo, held in 2020.

World’s biggest boiler and allied industries conclave to be held in Mumbai in September

The second edition of what is billed as the ‘biggest boiler exposition in the world’ will be held in the sprawling indoor stadia of CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mumbai from September 14 to September 16, 2022.

The three-day event aptly named, ‘Boiler India 2022’ will have participation of leaders in the boiler and user industry plus interactive seminars curated by global experts in the field.

The occasion will also witness Lifetime Achievement Award being bestowed on the doyenne of the industry, former Chairperson of Thermax Limited, social worker, and former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, Padmashri Mrs. Anu Aga. The award is in recognition of her outstanding contribution in the sector as well as her zeal and commitment towards social upliftment of the underprivileged.

The first edition of Boiler India was held in February 2020 and was very well received by the industry leading to the launch of an online ‘Boiler World Update’ newsletter portal. The second edition will feature release of the annual edition of Boiler World Update in print format. The organizers, Orangebeak Technologies Private Limited, have also set their eyes on moving the mega event to an international stage by announcing the scheduling of ‘Boiler World Expo’ at Nairobi, Kenya in August 2023.

Focus Areas
Boiler India is designed to act as a platform for encouraging exchange of ideas, concepts, and advancements in the industrial boiler sector. Manufacturing of boilers has undergone a sea change in recent times and the bulky steam generating, fuel guzzling machinery of yore has been replaced by much more efficient, silent and heat conserving modern equipment. The oversized polluting mammoth sentinels which marked industrial complexes across the world are being replaced by electronically controlled leaner and safer machines. Boiler India Expo strives to act as a bridge between manufacturers of modern industrial boiler apparatus, consumers and auxiliary allied units of suppliers.

Boilers are a crucial part of the processing industry and find use in breweries and distilleries, food and beverages processing plant, commercial laundry facilities, textile manufacturing, power generation, rice mills, refinery and petrochemical processing, pharmaceuticals, milk dairy, sugar and jaggery production among other industrial sectors. Efficient and safe working are the buzz words in the industry as unsafe boilers are akin to an explosive bomb! Thankfully, India is among the leading manufacturers of modern boiler systems and can provide tailor made energy efficient solutions for all users.

The expo will include a massive trade fair with live demonstrations where leaders in the industry will showcase their products. The event will promote B2B networking by offering a common roof under which the who’s who of the sector will be available for commercial discussions and clarifications. Further, seminars being held at C. V. Raman Hall and Sir Visvesvaraya Hall at the same venue, will see a multitude of speakers dwelling on various new technologies, supportive case studies, use of alternative fuels, metallurgy of boiler components, amendments in government regulations, international standards and safety issues. These talks will offer technical assistance and know how to participants and also help in optimization of boiler design so as to further improve efficiency in the sectoral biome.

The seminars are significant as “India is the largest manufacturer of boilers in Asia with boiler efficiency in many working equipment going up to 95 to 98 per cent,” explains Mr. Dhawal Antapurkar, who heads the Directorate of Steam Boilers, Maharashtra State. The conference will have leading luminaries in the field of boiler manufacturing interacting with participants and clearing their doubts.
