COVID-19 forces postponement of exhibitions in China

In view of the current outbreak of pneumonia caused by 2019-novel coronavirus which originated in Hubei Province in China, the Chinese Government issued notices to restrict mass activities and suspend large scale economic and trade activities across affected provinces. The administration has asked to halt all large scale exhibition activities in major cities to safeguard the health and safety of all exhibition participants.
Following the advisory, organisers of Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR and CIFM interzum guangzhou have decided to postpone the exhibitions until a later date.
Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR was scheduled from March 24 – 26, 2020; while CIFM interzum guangzhou was scheduled from March 28 – 31, 2020. The new event dates and further arrangements were not announced until the time of going to press.
Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR has been running the show for over two decades and is considered as one of the top leading platforms for hard surface categories around the world. More than 66,000 industry professionals from emerging Asian markets and 107 other countries participate in the exhibition each year. The 22nd edition of Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR is expanding to 1,85,000 sq. m. and expected to be attended by 1,579 exhibitors from 66 countries.
On the other side, CIFM interzum guangzhou is recognised by the industry as Asia’s largest and most comprehensive trade exhibition for woodworking machinery, furniture production and interiors. Last year, gross exhibition space for CIFM interzum guangzhou was 1,50,000 sq. m. This year it is spread over 7,60,00 sq. m. to accommodate 4,300 exhibiting companies and 3,00,000 expected trade visitors.
