Following the acquisition of the three market leading fairs for the woodworking and furniture production industry in India in 2018 – IndiaWood, DelhiWood and MumbaiWood NürnbergMesse has now added the India Mattresstech Expo (IME) to its rich portfolio. With this new takeover NürnbergMesse India has established itself as one of the largest exhibition organizers in the Indian subcontinent as the total number of exhibitions reached to 16.
Under the umbrella of NürnbergMesse India, the IME will celebrate its premiere parallel to IndiaWood exhibition, which is scheduled from February 27 to March 2, 2020 in Bengaluru.
“The IME covers an important sub-segment of the furniture industry and creates valuable synergies for our exhibitors and visitors. It is therefore the ideal complement to our Indian woodworking events,” said Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group while making this big announcement during the inauguration of DelhiWood 2019.
Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group added, “The Indian economy is booming. With this latest member in our trade fair portfolio, NürnbergMesse India is yet again reinforcing its position as one of the leading exhibition organizers in the Indian subcontinent.
The IME was previously owned by Unitech Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd.
“By adding the IME to the next round of IndiaWood we are pooling the entire expertise of the market in one place and therefore are offering our customers genuine added value specifically for the wood processing and furniture production industry,” said Sonia Prashar, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India.
